The 2013 Hungarian On-road Championship Series has started last weekend in Pecs (04/07/2013). The weather was still really cold (6-8°C), but the track was dry during the whole race. The Hungarian XRAY Team was interested in the 1/10 200mmm Stock (controlled, low budget engine) and 1/10 200mm Modified (EFRA) class. This was the first time we used the new 2013 spec. NT1 cars, and the performance of the car was brilliant right out from the box (with standard setup). After some small adjustments, based on the track we have ensured good starting positions for the finals.

In the 1/10 200mm Stock class Laszlo Kiss-Orban (XRAY) started from the 3rd position, and after the first few laps the first two cars – Balazs Bihari and Laszlo – has built a few seconds gap from the rest of the field. After a mistake of Balazs, Laszlo continued to drive alone in the first position, and he has kept this position to the end of the race. The final order was:

2. Krisztian Gulyas
3. Peter Varsanyi

‶The car was very stable and easy to drive, while the cornering speed and clutch performance was the key differentiator in this controlled engine class, where each of the cars has the same power .※ – said Laszlo.

In the 1/10 200mm Modified class Zsolt Bajusz (XRAY, REDS) has started from the 2nd position, Laszlo Kiss-Orban (XRAY, REDS) started from the 5th position. Both of the cars has run with the new REDS M3 WC tuned engines, and the power of this engines combined with the lowest weight and fuel consumption of the field gave us a perfect combination for driving to the podium. After the first tanking the running order was Laszlo Szebelledi – Zsolt (XRAY, REDS) – Laszlo (XRAY, REDS), but later Zsolt has lost his 2nd gear, so he lost his 2nd place, but with the REDS engine, he was able to keep the 3rd position until the end of the race. The final order was:
